Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG is the financial and mobility services division of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. We offer our customers services for cars and vans in the areas of financing, leasing and insurance. In addition, in our capacity as the financing and mobility division we enable Mercedes-Benz customers to use vehicles flexibly by means of rental and subscription models, fleet management and digital services for charging and payment.
We are a driving force in our sector, and we are firmly focused on the major trends of our time: electrification, sustainability, digitalisation and artificial intelligence. We have a clear ambition:

The focus of our product range is on financing, leasing and insurance solutions. As a financial services provider, Mercedes-Benz Mobility supports the sales of Mercedes-Benz Group AG’s automotive brands all over the world. In Germany, Mercedes-Benz Bank, which is part of Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG, is one of the leading automotive banks. It provides around one million customers with financial leeway as well as overnight deposit and fixed-interest accounts in the direct banking business.
Our services related to automotive financing and insurance are precisely tailored to our customers’ needs. We also apply this know-how to making their switch to electric mobility as easy as possible by providing attractive financing, leasing and insurance solutions. These solutions include financing and insuring the charging infrastructure, warranties and rental solutions for batteries, for example. Mercedes-Benz Mobility currently finances or leases half of all the new vehicles sold worldwide by the Mercedes-Benz Group — and our international portfolio is steadily growing.
We enable convenient, fast and safe charging solutions in public, home and business environments. In doing so, we ensure a reliable experience for our customers.
With the development of our global Mercedes-Benz Charging Network, we are massively expanding the range of fast charging points. By the end of the decade, we plan to establish more than 10,000 charging points worldwide. This network creates a unique Mercedes-Benz environment that enhances the charging experience for customers.
Through our subsidiary Athlon we also offer innovative and best-in-class mobility solutions for business customers. More and more companies are now focusing on their core business and leaving the efficient management of their vehicle fleets to the specialists. Our subsidiary Athlon is a leading provider of vehicle leasing and fleet management systems in Europe, and it is responsible for more than 400.000 vehicles. Sustainability and flexibility are becoming increasingly important for the mobility of business customers as well. That’s why Athlon is offering numerous solutions for an easy entry into electric mobility and developing additional tools for sustainable fleet management — and that’s not all.
For customers with high expectations regarding flexibility and best-in-class individual mobility, we also offer rental and subscription models. In addition to the traditional rental options offered by Mercedes-Benz Rent and Mercedes-Benz Vans Rental, customers of Mercedes-Benz Mobility can switch to electric mobility with exceptional flexibility. Our all-inclusive subscription options for Mercedes-Benz EQ models are designed for all customers who are looking for a simple and convenient way to get to know the advantages of electric mobility in their daily lives without having to make a long-term commitment.

We enable a seamless end-to-end charging experience for our customers - starting with the vehicle itself and with all the benefits our comprehensive range of charging services has to offer.
In order to be able to offer our customers innovative and first-class mobility solutions, we are active in the field of fleet and mobility management through Athlon.
For private customers with a high demand for flexibility and first-class individual mobility, we also offer rental & subscription models.
Mercedes-Benz Mobility addresses the mobility needs of our customers through joint ventures and shareholdings such as FREE NOW, CHARGE NOW as well as StarRides and Blacklane.
Mercedes-Benz Mobility and the BMW Group are working together to promote digital mobility solutions through their joint ventures. FREE NOW is our solution for trips in taxis and rental cars and multi-modal mobility. The bp energy company has become the third shareholder in CHARGE NOW, the joint venture for charging electric vehicles, in 2021.
We also offer driving services with luxury vehicles through our premium ride hailing services StarRides and Blacklane. StarRides is a joint venture of Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG and the Geely Technology Group. The StarRides fleets in ten major cities in China consist of Mercedes-Benz S-Class, E-Class and V-Class vehicles. In addition, Mercedes-Benz Mobility has also held a stake in the Berlin-based chauffeur service Blacklane since 2013.
